Remember a while back I posted about Project Sunshine? It is a project of The Forgotten Initiative which raises awareness about foster children. They were going around renovating the visiting rooms that chldren and their birthparents have their visits in. Before, the rooms were dull and boring with old toys and books with pages all ripped out of them. There was not many toys for them to play with. They just seemed cold and uninviting. They've gone around to different agencies in the Bloomington and Peoria area. Well here is a video of the volunteers working on the room renovations at Family Core. Family Core is the agency where we would try to get our foster license through. So, if we end up with foster children they would use these rooms to visit their birth family. When the video starts up and Scott (in the orange shirt) starts talking that is the room where we had our training classes in!
