Its January so its inventory time which equals insanity for me. Too many numbers, prices and item/stock #'s running through my brain.
On the bright side of this I'm doing some rearranging/reorganizing while I do this to help make things look cleaner and in a better order.

Memory Verse-Separation from God
Its been a while since I've posted a verse on here. We're trying to get back on track.
Behold, the Lord's hand is not so short that it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
Isaiah 59:1-2

Formal Application
Whew...its been a long night of answering a lot of questions about ourselves. I received an email today that our preliminary application was successfully processed and that we could start on our formal one. The formal one is not a lot of hard questions just basic ones about our family/parents and current living situation.
Another form we have to fill out is questions they ask about our faith. These ones we of course have to be more detailed about and put a lot of thought and prayers into this.
The formal application seems pretty easy to work on. Its all on the computer and we can do as much or as little as we want and save it and come back to it later!
We would like to ask for prayers during this process as we navigate through these roads we haven't traveled before. We're trusting that the Lord will lead us and guide us during this and show us His will and also give us patience.
Thanks for reading!

Perfect Planning...or not
I think I spend too much time trying to "plan" things out when I really have no control over them. The major thing that comes to mind is kids, things didn't really turn out "as planned" so to say. I know God has a reason for this and I'm starting to feel better about it, day after day. I can't plan my life around this and keep waiting and waiting. If its not in the Lord's will for us then it won't happen. On the flip side of this we do have to be active with the decision we made to try to adopt. We can't just sit around and wait for a baby to be dropped on our doorstep. Anyways, that was kind of a little sidetrack so let me get back to the planning.
I catch myself frequently planning things in my head as to how they will or should turn out. For example I made a phone call today to the agency we are planning on using to adopt. Once again I had this all planned out in my head. As soon as I clocked out for my lunch break I sped to my parent's house to make the call. Before I called I wanted to be all ready to write down her answers so I made sure I had a pencil (with plenty of lead), pen, calculator, notepad, most recent email from her, and my notes with all our questions. I spent some time praying before I made this phone call that God would lead me and guide me through this endless list of questions while I would continue to check the clock every couple of minutes to make sure I had enough time. I dialed the number, the receptionist answered and I asked for the lady that had emailed me. The receptionist told me they didn't expect her to be in until a little after 12:00. Well it was 11:45 and I had to be back to work around 12:15. I left her a voicemail but still waited around for her call. I went back to work but still checked my phone often to see if I had a voicemail from her.
When I got off work and still had no voicemail I figured that maybe I would talk to her tomorrow or next week. Wrong. After Aaron and I got home I hopped in the shower and he ended up laying on the floor in the hallway (weird I know but he likes to talk to me while I'm in the shower and we catch up on each other's day). Well as I'm getting out of the shower (8:00p.m.) the phone rings, Aaron is pretty much half asleep by now and I'm telling him to grab the phone. He comes down the hallway telling me that its her. So here I am wrapped up in a towel looking for my notes, pencil, pen, calculator, notepad etc. Once I finally found them half out of breath still wrapped in a towel and now my wet hair is dripping all over my notes we started talking.
So much for planning huh?

Adoption
We've made our decision and WE WANT TO ADOPT!!! Sometime around April/May we plan on starting the process. This is something we have been praying and thinking about for a while and have decided that this is the path we want to head down.

Surgery or Adoption?!
This is the question we are trying to decide on by April. By April, Lord willing, we should be done with the student loans and then we have to move forward with one of these two decisions.

"No Matter What"
So I really love the song "No Matter What" by Kerrie Roberts. They play it a lot on 91.5 WCIC so I was going to post some of my favorite lyrics from this song! I'll include the link too if you want to listen to it!
Before a heartache can ever touch my life
It has to go through Your hands and even
Though I keep asking why
I keep asking why
No matter what, I'm gonna love You
No matter what, I'm gonna need You
I know that You can find a way to keep me from the pain
But if not, if not, I'll trust You
No matter what, no matter what
I know You have Your reasons for everything
So I will keep believing whatever I might be feeling
God You are my hope and You'll be my strength!
This song has been such an encouragement to me! NO MATTER WHAT I have to/need to trust God and know that HIS plan/will is perfect for us!
